Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
Can definitely see Bournemouth’s quality on the ball but we can win this
Edit. Maybe not

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
Glazel not won a thing in the air. Look very lightweight up front. Now a goal down.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
That goal had been coming, they had been building the pressure

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
Awful defending. We looked like a pub team.

Quite agree - and so are Bournemouth which is making for a poor watch.
As usual, City just can't pas a ball to another blue shirt

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
Hoilett hasn't offered much again
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
2nd best all over the pitch. Their pressing is excellent, we don't know what to do under pressure, lots of panic passes.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
Don’t know if it’s just me but Bagan seems to be sitting very deep
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
Ooooh... wilson good effort

When he’s dropped into the false 9 role he’s looked good, keeping possession and laying off to the runners
If we wanted a centre forward to header we should have just kept Pato

He'd have scored tonight

Just gets brushed off every time. Ojo might do better if he didn’t look for Wilson every time he gets the ball!

He is a bit, maybe to compensate for any nerves etc. Hoilett let him down badly for the goal.

He wouldn't have, he'd have been on the bench.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
We are just very predictable.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v AFC BOURNEMOUTH: Match thread
We never seem to have controlled possession do we, it's all done on the stretch with the ball not quite in the place the player wants it to be - Bournemouth have been sloppy at times, but they have the controlled possession that we don't.
As was said earlier, the goal had been coming. We only looked like we might score twice at Preston (Moore's first half header being the only other time) and it was only when Wilson had that shot that I thought we might find the net tonight - no shots on target for us, five for Bournemouth.
One encouraging thing is that Wilson is finding space in between the lines as they say these days and his movement is so much better than we're used to that he makes it easy for even a side as poor at passing the ball as us to find him.

Half-time cuppa and a Ramipril. Enjoying Cunningham's commentary though. Silver linings and all that.

Quite a good speaker isn’t he, not bad as a co commentator at all.
