You can have the best striker in the world up front, but he can't do it by himself. Apart from Giles, we have no service into the box. We also need a strong midfield, to give those wide players something to work with. We have a long way to go yet. Bringing Wintle back might be a start.
True but there is an argument that says that he has proved that he can do it, so he could score 25 - that should be his goal now and it is the job of the manager to motivate him to do so.Quote:

However, Man City used to (and possibly still do) look for something called Area 15 (? Probably not the right number) which is nearer to the side edge of the penalty area. Apparently if you can get players in there to cross then that makes all the difference. I don't know, I don't make the rules.
Overlapping full backs might have helped instead of centre halves on the flank.
