This was on Owen Money’s show last Saturday morning
Chris Farlowe sung the song and someone called Mike, out of Manfred Mann wrote it

I'd take sitting next to Dai Hunt over Kelly Jones any day of the week!

Re: Stereophonics Handbags and Gladrags
I saw Chris Farlow sing Handbags and Gladrags when he was frontman for Colosseum at the Top Rank in 1970 or thereabouts. Great song and Chris Farlow had a great voice.
Re: Stereophonics Handbags and Gladrags
Chris Farlowe my all time 60s hero.
Met him a couple of times. Grumpy old git though.
His original ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ far superior to any later version. Written by Mike D’abo.
Farlowe is still gigging at the age of 80.
Last I heard he was in Germany where he is popular.
