Nick Cave: 'cancel culture is bad religion run amuck'
Nick Cave has always been a bit of an arse , talented but an arse .
Like some of the birthday party stuff but not keen on his solo output
Appearing in Israel is never going to go down well and whilst like cave she is talented his ex pj Harvey is a fox hunting supporter
Bit odd
He speaks in broad terms. Some people need to be cancelled. Or should we sit at home watching Jim'll Fix It and come to terms with our feelings using art as catharsis?
I love The Birthday Party and some of Nick Cave's earlier solo stuff. I can't really be bothered these days. A mate of mine who's a huge fan went to a Q&A he did in a theatre in Brooklyn a couple of years ago. He said NC took himself very seriously and was quite full of himself. To a surprising degree.
Sat next to him on a flight from Heathrow to Toronto in 2011. Interesting chap
Utter Fantasy

Ah , Mr bond , I have been expecting you x
Cave comes across as a libertarian which is odd as he's supposed to be alternative
Didn't he go out with Kylie Minogue?
How on earth did he pull her ?
He looks like a chimp
Surely everyone acknowledges that society isn't equal. People are disadvantaged over race, sexuality, gender, class etc.
Take something like political correctness. I find it mystifying that some people object to not being able to joke about something that offends someone else, and even takes that a step further by blaming that person for being offended.
As long as people are not breaking the law, they should be able to live their lives free from any discrimination and should not be disadvantaged in any way. Society will never be completely equal, but we should never stop striving to improve equality, so society becomes more equal.
