Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Yanic Wildschut in the worst just for the drag back on his own goal line that Derby scored from.
Craig Bryson was decent for us.

Paul Shaw.

Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Billy Woof up front
1 game on loan in 1982 (a winner in the last minutes against Wigan)
Manic woofing celebrations on the Bob Bank - he could go in either side as we never saw him again as he buggered off back up north after the game
I'd just have him in so we could all do the barking celebrations again

Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Lappin played twice for us and was sent off in one of them
-
Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
was Dion Sanderson that good for us?
he played about 10 times but was increasingly targeted by opposition teams during that time. and since leaving us in now on loan at a lower level
-
Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Not enough to get in best XI but Danny Hill was good loan come permanent signing. Got promoted with Frankie Burrows side late 90s. Good side that.
-
Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Does Glenn Loovens count? He was on loan originally then we signed him.
-
Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Dean Gordon springs to mind
-
Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
I'd find a place for Michael Chopra in the best and J Lloyd Samuel RIP in the worst Sorry J.
Oh, and Steven Bywater was terrible as well.

Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
If the worst XI are still lacking up front can I add Kyle Lightbourne to the line up.
-
Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Was Ndumbu-Nsungu on loan and I believe we signed Warren Feeney on loan before we signed him permanently. Based on what I've seen of Osei-Tutu so far, I'd rate him above Sanderson.

Well remembered... Leon Barnett did a great job in the couple of months he was with us
Koumas was outstanding in his first spell, produced a number of wow moments

Probably a mistake not trying to keep Barnett with hindsight

Nicknamed Kyle Stillborn

Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Just to correct a few things said above, Chris Rigott and Billy Woof weren't on loan to us, they were on short term deals. Riggot got injured again and then retired. Bill Woof got upset when he was dropped after one goalscoring game and walked out on the club. I think he was on a one week or one month contract.
And J Lloyd Samuel can't play in the team because he died 2 years ago!

He was better than Jazz Richards, but that isn't saying much.

Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Gerry Francis should be in the best team but doubt whether many will remember him. There was also a Japanese bloke signed on loan from from WBA who was decent.

Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Eddie Newton was an inspired loan. From a top division team like Chelsea to a 4th division team.
I'm surprised his career never really took off.
I wish he stayed as we may have kicked on.
Newton and Blake would be fab to have seen together..
But we didn't have 2 brass farthings to rub together so I doubt we could have afforded him.

Re: A CCFC best & worst Loan player X1 ?
Michael Ricketts did well for us when he played up front with Cameron Jerome and you would have to say Kasper Schmeichel played a big part in keeping us up a decade or so ago. Danny Drinkwater was disappointing whilst Julian Grey and Karim Frei pretty awful.

Gerry Francis would have got into the best team on reputation, but not on performance! Mind you, he was in a Durban team as I remember it, so he had no chance!
Inamoto's a good shout mind.

My recollection of Julien Grey is different to yours - i was disappointed we didn't sign him permanently.
