£2m Emiliano Sala Trust Fund to be established by end of month?
The Mail Online are 'reporting':
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sp...d-January.html
- It is two years next week since Emiliano Sala was killed on his way to England
- His family first discussed establishing a fund with Cardiff 14 months ago
- Trust fund hopes to build a sports stadium in his home village in Argentina
- Replacement of a firm of Argentine lawyers has helped speed-up the process
There was a similar report months ago predicting the Trust Fund would be set up soon - but then Covid knocked everything back.
Hopefully this time it will happen so that his family and home community benefit, and the club can be associated with some positive news!

After the families outburst regarding the fund in the media about Cardiff City i wouldn't give anything

Oh,. Cardiff is in England now. I may be wrong but I though his flight was heading for Cardiff? Although it does say that in the main body of the article. Criticising Cardiff for not having someone to help at our end? How do they know as, tragically, he never got here.

'He was desperate to get back. If someone could have just found a helper for him in Cardiff, someone who spoke his language, I think it would have helped.'
The Athletic commented on Crespo at Chelsea fairly recently saying he struggled in his first season partly because he didn't speak English and didn't get much support from the club adapting to the new country. Why were clubs then, and seemingly now, spending huge sums on money getting players onto the pitch but not know how to support them adequately away from the pitch?

I think I can remember that information is incorrect as there was a City employee, who spoke Spanish, who was waiting at Cardiff Airport for the ill-fated flight.

He was speaking to our player liaison officer, the club posted the WhatsApp conversation. I don't know how it would have helped either? Still, another good excuse to knock the club rather than the agent who organised the flight.
