Out of interest, why can't somebody from Pontypridd identify more with Man United than Cardiff City?
Do you actually think your area of birth should dictate your choices?
I know people who have followed United and Liverpool home and away for years even going to away European games
Let them enjoy it

It could be argued that they're more committed than fans that support their local team, every game is an away game. Real football fans in my opinion.....:hehe:

Answer the question. At what point does it become not acceptable?
We’ve established 35 miles is acceptable but 200 miles isn’t.
Is 40 miles ok? 50 miles? 100 miles?

You’re being kind. I read his opinion as football socialism as football fascism. As he’d regiment the society to his own dictatorial beliefs and suppress any opposition.
He’s obviously winding us up? He can’t really believe this bollocks he’s dribbling?

I think that he's getting a bit bleary eyed over being loyal to your local community-in football terms-that doesn't happen in any other industry under capitalism, unless you're white, slim, middle class and from pontcanna and you want to support some local artisan baker, where poor people aren't allowed to shop. It's all very confusing.

If course they are. Stupid to argue otherwise. But the same lot do.

Sludge, should Tan be allowed to own Cardiff? Shouldn’t he be supporting some Malaysian club?

He is our owner, he's not a local football supporter from pontypridd following Liverpool instead of Cardif City
Bit of a difference

Shouldn't he invest in Malaysian football though? Just like people in South Wales should invest their time and money into supporting either us or Swansea instead of Liverpool/United. You make no sense

Ahhhhh... Football capitalism in the form of free choice, free markets and rampant commercialisation is ok for people who own clubs then. Thanks for clearing that up.
Remember Tan is the lad who wanted City to be like Liverpool, he even changed the kit:biggrin:
Imagine funding an institution that obviously goes against all your principles.
You’re a closet Tory behind this socialist facade you portray.
-
Re: A message to JR Hartley , lots of love from the West Glamorgan bluebirds xx
So, to recap, someone from Ponty should be supporting Cardiff because it’s only 12 miles away, yet the person who dictates this grew up only 8 miles from Swansea yet doesn’t support them? To make it worse he supports their bitter rivals 35 miles away.
Where the hell is the logic in that?!?!?

Sadly that's the way football is
I just support the team , unlike man united fans in ponty

you don't like the answer that the support base of local rivals often merges
You don't like that , not my problem

the ponty fella should be supporting cardiff or swansea , not a football team 200 miles away
Its no more complicated than that
Bunch of premiership apologists the lot of you
Cardiff City for me and anyone not from Liverpool or Manchester in South wales wearing one of their tops is not in my phone book
-

So by this logic the North Wales lads shouldn’t be supporting Cardiff then?

What about Cardiff fans who aren't from Wales Sludge? Are they allowed to support City?

They are supporting the team representing the capital city of their country .
There are swansea fans in North Wales too
They are not supporting two of the most successful clubs in British history unlike the clowns in ponty
