Some real football to look out for this weekend
Carabao Cup starts
Saturday 3pm. Bournemouth v MK Dons
Sunday 1pm. Sheff Weds v Huddersfield.
And it's opening day of the Scottish season.
Saturday 1.30pm Rangers v Livingston
Saturday 8pm Hearts v Celtic
plus two other SPL games today and two tomorrow
And a full set of fixtures today in the Scottish leagues.

Re: Some real football to look out for this weekend
Macclesfield FC (formerly Macclesfield Town FC) play their first game today in the North West Counties League. From being wound up to actually playing again at their home ground has been somewhat of a rollercoaster. Luckily a local (ish) busniessman and Robbie Savage have invested in the club and got them back on their feet, with an injection of over £4M to get them to where they are now, taking the first step in what is sure to be a new and exciting (at times) part of the small clubs history.
And my daughter has got covid so i've got to self-isolate and miss the bloody start of the season.
Sparea thought for Bury FC who were wound up about the same time as Macc Town who are now selling their ground and haven't got a club at all any more. There is a phoenix club but that doesn't have any affiliation with the original Bury. Shame as had some brilliant days out there.

If I remember rightly, Sunderland had the whole of the ground apart from the Bob Bank that day and it was the first time I’d seen a kick off delayed at Ninian Park because of crowd congestion.

Just watched the Rangers game . Tight game Livingston defended well for most of the game.
Wasn't one for the hoofball connoisseur . Very few long high balls.
