Someone mentioned in a thread below that if they won a major lottery and had £300m to spare they’d buy Cardiff city. The figure needed to buy the club aside, if you won enough, would you?

No , it would cost about £100m to buy and then paying £50 a season to keep them from going under. I'd rather that was someone else's problem. If it were free I would as I reckon I could run it better than Dalman and Choo, and not give it to a manager when he wants to spend £11m on Murphy, £6m on MAdine or £4m for flint and Cunnihgam.

Yes. Someone in Michigan won $1.05B. The cash option was $776M. After taxes, they walk away with about $460M. I'd have to have $1B in the bank before I considered buying the City. Or at least $500M spare cash that I was with good conscience prepared to piss away.Quote:

Who'd own a championship club? The only way to achieve success is to get out of it. And trying to achieve that is a very costly gamble. Just to be competitive seems unsustainable.
