Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
Been a big thing about a mass walkout with 17 mins to go with wanting the glazers out (to reflect the 17 years they been there) .
As it transpires a few leave and despite them trying to encourage others to leave the vast majority stay in their seats.
I suppose being 3 0 up and qualifying for Europe didn't help the protest! Just thought a nice reminder of what bubbles online chatter is about such stuff as the people who were leaving seemed to think it would be a big thing.
United have spent huge money on players but most has been wasted. Appoint a decent manager and they will be fine and happy again.

Not just that it turns out the glazers are escaped goats.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
Nothing on the game I thought Ronaldo would've had a feel day.

Ronnie cornered that market in Sheffield

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
Clever from man u to take off mata and matic at that time. Brave as it could have backfired as everyone could have walked out on them but everyone stayed in their seats to applaud and forgot about the protest.
A bit embarrassing for the organisers with their banners for the walk out etc.... I suppose that's the difficulty with protests is now they've made a big song and dance about that and it's failed people will think they are actually happy with the glazers.

'Scapegoat' actually meant 'escapegoat', etymologically speaking, old fruit.

A missed window of opportunity, and I bet the glazers saw right right through it.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
I would imagine Manchester United officials would have been on tenderhooks come the 73rd minute.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
Their squad is full of pre-madonnas.

Loads of plastics watching United nowadays. Probably just as happy cruising the med in their catameringues as they are at Old Trafford.

That would have been a sticky end, but then again it might have sealed it

Some of these malapropisms are a work of art. Wouldn't look out of place at the Sixteenth Chapel.

It's all a bit of a mute point I hear.....

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
The fans are hoping the Glazers will fade into Bolivian.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
Flags at half mask if they lose Ronaldo
-
Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
Despite the understated protest, the Glazers aren't popular really. I doubt we will see a murial to them in the future.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
I wish that I could of thought up some of these corkers! I would of been very pleased with myself.
There’s somethink for everyone here.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
It would have been more than three but for some great reactionary saves by the Brentford keeper.
On a more serious note, it seems that members of the Lingard family aren’t happy about Jesse not getting any game time in his final match at Old Trafford as a Man United player.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
There was also a commentator on Channel 5 once who reeled off about ten quality midfielders available to Liverpool for the coming season and said other clubs must be so jealous of Liverpool’s dearth of midfield talent.

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
Are squids damp or just wet ??
I loved the ones in green and yellow with banners still there at the end , useless .

Difficult to gloss over if they hadn't won.

I really do not understand why Lingard didn't stay at Wist Em and instead chose to fight for his place at MU.
He was never going to be a regular such is MU's depth of talent, especially as those that could not get a regular start eg Donny van de Beek, would be in front of him to keep their value up.
They loved him there and he was on fire, could do no wrong and would have been in a more successfulteam

Just looked up the Etymology for Etymology.
I'm sure that you are aware that Etymon means "origin of a word" in Latin, and comes from the Greek word etymon, meaning "literal meaning of a word according to its origin." Greek etymon in turn comes from etymos, which means "true."

Have you looked up the etymology for entomology?

Re: Man u walk out on 73 mins-damp squid
It's funny how their protests are proportionate to the football clubs success.

People who can't tell the difference between entomology and etymology bug me 😀
