Re: Wimbledon return to Plough Lane
It’s been sitting there for 29 yrs? Crikey I would have thought it was houses or flats years ago in that part of London
Re: Wimbledon return to Plough Lane
Cant believe its still there.
Re: Wimbledon return to Plough Lane
The new ground is quite near where the original Plough Lane was apparently, not on the same site.
Re: Wimbledon return to Plough Lane

Plough Lane is a big road in South West London, the ground is on the old dog track site, the original ground is an Asda, i think. Sammy boy flogged it off for 10 million i think.
Re: Wimbledon return to Plough Lane
For those who know while still in Plough Lane their new ground is where the dog track was. It was demolished to make way for even more appartments as well as the new ground. So no more greyhounds, speedway or stock racing. But there's literally thousands of appartments if you include those built on their original ground.

1985, I'm sure it was the same day as the Bradford city fire, and we were already relegated?

Didn't Sam Hammam try moving them to the Arms park or something around the same time?

Yes, Sam sold the club and fans down the river then cleared out.
Morals ? Absolutely none.

I can remember pointing this out on an earlier incarnation of this board when Sam was here.
He was strenuously defended by some people on here at the time, but I guess people will probably have a bit more perspective now.
Absolutely disgusting what he did to Wimbledon.
