Players lying down behind a wall during free kick

Excuse my ignorance but why? What's it supposed to do? I don't think I'd seen it years gone by

Does anyone remember seeing it before this? I think this might have been the last time I went to the CCS. I think we were due to play Preston. I would have much preferred that.

The first person I saw lay down was Grealish. Given my opinion of him I thought at the time he was either hiding or getting ready to claim another plenaty for some perceived foul

OK. So it's not just me. I thought my memory was going.

I'm waiting for the magical moment when the wall falls backwards over the player laying down , and the free kick sails in .
