Pick up point city centre
I’ve got to pick up my Mrs from the city centre tonight. Where’s the best place to pick her up from - it’s been ages since I drive into the City and I’m pretty sure a few roads have been pedestrianised since.

With bus lanes almost everywhere its tricky. Maybe outside Cardiff Central station?

Last time I was there there was a small car park and drop off point that you enter from near the ?Vue cinema

Re: Pick up point city centre
I usually pick my wife by the entrance to the John Lewis car park.

Churchill Way, as long as you aren't left waiting

Re: Pick up point city centre
Depends which direction you're coming from really. Cathedral Road/North Road/ etc

It's about a 30 yard walk through the park, past a coffee place. You don't even have to walkthrough the park.

If you are going to correct people, then do the job properly. "Your are" or "You're", not "Your"

Re: Pick up point city centre
Slightly off topic, imagine you're passing Techniquest on the right, past the car park and zebra crossing, and the round bends round to the right. There's a lay bye on the left - it's actually a bus stop, but last yr. picked up the Mrs late at night from there as it was in a busy area. Got fined £100. Asked for ALL of the camera shots and I was there only 6 seconds ! Appealed and got off, but had a long, personalized letter from Plod telling me off and not to 'park' there again.
Since then [2yrs ago now], must have seen dozens of folk dropping off/picking up there, not knowing there's a camera watching and a £100 fine on it's way..

There should be signs there telling people not to park there or not to drop off, pick up etc with the penalty charge written on them. That's the law i believe.

I hadn't noticed him making that particular mistake a lot. That's why I didn't bother.
Btw: What is "your are" meant to be in your example?

It's a typo.
