Tropical Storm Elsa. Received a official warning, anything not bolted down has been taken away, told to stay indoors. It’s still 12-15 hours away but already high winds. This’ll be a new experience. Stay in bed day.

Where are you Des?
Caribbean?
Understandable assumption. Haven’t seen any Hurricanes in Poland but a few small Tornadoes
That’ll be the new British order. I put my holiday form into the nice Mrs Merkel and she approved it.Quote:
You are allowed on holidays? When did the new world order allow such freedoms?
Anyway, the bucketing rain has arrived, the eye is due in a few hours.
Batten down those hatches DP and stay safe

That was a new experience & lockdown with a difference. Right in the path of the hurricane for around 18 hours. 6 hours of intensity. We were locked in, had to draw the curtains (in case of flying glass). The aftermath is wreckage everywhere. Trees & branches down, flooding & a very angry sea. I’ve never seen rain like it, literally bucketing down. The swimming pools are huge but they flooded. Only a Cat 1 with 90mph winds, but it was bad enough, I’d hate to be in a Cat 5.
Still gave me an excuse to watch the 2 Q/f
