Our best pass of the night was Pack's through ball for Toney.

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Fair play, Mick and the team shut down my pre-match negativity. There were a lot of positives in that performance - at least more than I was expecting.

I just sat down to watch the game. Didn't realise it was an early kick off. Oh well, at least I can continue with what I was doing.

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Not a bad performance against a good side going all out for the three points.
Not sure we'd have scored without the penalty, though.

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Well that was ok. Phillips must have done something terrible to someone. He must play on the weekend.

Not sure they'd have scored without Smithies juggling the ball into the back of the net like it was an eel covered in Vaseline.

:hehe:
You didn't miss too much, pretty much the same as last couple of games except we didn't concede in injury time.

Yes, much the same for me, that wasn’t bad at all.

McCarthy really doesn't rate Watters, does he?

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I thought we were pretty decent today
Nelson had a really good game
We are still giving the ball away too cheaply but any midfield with Pack in is hardly going to be dynamic
Tutu looked good in his brief time and I hope he signs in the summer
Smithies even for his howler can distribute the ball better than Phillips

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Cardiff’s away record against the teams above them in the League is impressive. The style of football isn’t easy on the eye but this is still a very competitive team.

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Enjoyed that this evening, we did play a bit of football against a team, who I thought took us a little bit too lightly particularly in the first half.

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I take it all back, what I said about Ojo, in the last few weeks.
I'll go back to my original prognosis, HE IS F UCKING USELESS
-
Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I'm largely in agreement with those hoping Osei-Tutu can be signed in the summer but obviously it depends on wages given our shrinking budget, especially as NG has played so well since joining and Sang looks decent at RWB as cover. Osei-Tutu did well off the bench today.
Nelson had a good game, Brown faced best opposition he's played against and I can't think of anything he did wrong, Moore class again for his work-rate and threat and Harry Wilson the same, although the latter will have been disappointed not to have scored.
Not too bad and now three games where Mick can experiment a bit more.

Brentford gone from a joy to watch to totally toothless

Yes I can’t see them going up through the play offs. I think there’s a good chance the 3 relegated sides go back up

Would other teams care?
Mass changes wouldn't have taught us much either but it wouldn't have hurt to have had someone else other than Hoilett on the bench who he's never going to bring on. Why not give Colwel and Watters 30 mins? We would have learned more if we had.

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Smithies has cost us 4 fecking points and the outside chance of the playoffs .
Bastard

Re: FT: BRENTFORD 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Players who do not play in the team seem to improve by the week in the eyes of the fans. Hoilett should be well on his way to be Player of the Season.

Very few people are calling for an 11 of youth players, just for others to be given a chance as a lot of clubs do at the end of the season with nothing to fight for

Same thing happened with Paterson last season.
