Also one where a dog sings a song some kind of cleaner product like Cilit Bang.

I'd flame thrower that dog and the creator of that advert given half a chance.

Murdoch hasn't owned Sky for two years.

I spotted that but we know with sludge everything has to be politicised. It's normal :hehe:

Fascist? Absolutely not.
Unless the definition of fascism has changed dramatically.

I really wouldn't let it worry you
All the big corporations are capitalist fascists , they don't care who they screw over
And I fecking hate their adverts

Re: Telly adverts you can't stand.
Slightly tangential but I'm really getting pissed off with all the adverts on YouTube channels. They're quick, 5 second bits of trash which interrupt your viewing every 5 minutes or so. Is nothing sacred?

I was watching a fishing video on you tube the other day and it was broken into by a load of nonsense
The nerve of it

It does bother me though
This kind of language is being tossed about so irresponsibly nowadays that anything to the right of far left is considered fascist.
Common sense and nuanced debate replaced by rigid partisanship on both sides.
My honest opinion is that we are in the early throws of serious Civil Conflicts across the West, partly down to language and attitudes like yours.
No more room for disagreement or fair debate.
Your way or be considered a fascist and fair game for serious retribution.

I have Xfinity TV and cellular. I'm happy with it. It's not the best, but my cellular bill is less less than $50 a month for me and the Mrs. I wish I had TCM as part of my TV package, but apart from that I have everything I need. I cut the cord for about 2 years but was still paying for Netflix, Showtime and HBO. And my AT&T (cell phone) bill was about $160. I now pay about $200 for everything. I still watch PBS mostly, but it's worth it for the DVR and being able to watch live TV on computers.

We switched from Comcast to Verizon Fios but ended up cutting the chord a few years ago.
Just use Fios for internet now and subscribe to various stations on Roku.
Britbox is worth a look at Mate.
You can do a brief trial and there are some great UK shows on there.

Re: Telly adverts you can't stand.
I hate the Did Somebody Say Just Eat advert iso much it makes me want to smash the TV screen.
My favourite advert of all time is the Ivan Skavinsky Skavar one for Whitbread beer from the early eighties.
