As a result you got a lot of flavours of nationalism that can be utilised by left or right, for instance you get the extreme blood and soil style nationalism associated with Nazism and is more commonly found among right wing parties. Plaid Cymru's nationalism is more inclusionary and not based on ethnicity or race which is why it fits in nicely with their left wing politics, they are based around the idea of self determination rather than expansion or cultural superiority. They are a socialist party who seek self determination.
Are there people in Plaid who hate the English? Of course there are, but there are nutjobs in every party.

Nothing too wrong with Mark Drakeford, using the English as guinea pigs more than once over the last year or so seems a good move to me. We can watch Johnson the buffoon foolhardily jump the gun masquerading as the people’s hero when it’s a dangerous bluster playing with folk’s lives. I’m quite ok waiting and staying above ground and breathing.

Mr Cautious won't let the pubs open because, in his eyes, people can pop down the Bay with a few cans and drink as much as they want with no social distancing, and pop a few 'laughing gas canisters' as well. Seems OK, and if our hospitality industry goes down the tubes so be it.
I was in a pub in 'guinea pig' England last week and the safety rules and regs in place were first class and the beer was good too.

'In' a pub. Dont think so.
Next Monday you will be able to have a pint outside, in the Griffin. Enjoy.

You're Andrew "arty" Davies and I claim my £5!!
Are you suggesting that regulations/laws should be changed because a tiny fraction of the population break said regulations/laws?
Looking at the footage at the time it looked to me that a sizeable number down the Bay weren't old enough to go into pubs so how would opening such venues stop such gatherings?
I suspect you've inhaled a few too many "laughing gas canisters."

A few of our group went over to Bristol on Saturday and had a great organised day out touring the pubs
Duck Ford is going to announce opening pubs earlier in May, tomorrow TO GAIN VOTES

This has been the policy since we started coming out of lockdown, see how things go with infection rate etc. If it's below what was predicted, then things are brought forward. Leisure centres have been closed constantly during lockdown, great places where people meet, community events, wellbeing etc, as well as local hubs that help the vulnerable, sell discounted hot food for those that are skint, help with benefits, free computer courses and reading and numeracy and a lively social scene for the community. I haven't seen you object to that, only the boozer. Strange..

If our Hospitality industry goes down the tubes, i'll paint your house and mow your lawn for free. It aint gonna happen.

Another one taken in by Duckford, I thought you were brighter than that !
Apart from football, I go to the pub once a week, Sunday for cards.
There are a lot of people out there who use the pub to help them socialise

I have no problem with pubs, and i'm taken in by nobody, although in my opinion, Drakeford -for the best part-has done a decent enough job during this pandemic. What are your thoughts on vital services being stopped during this pandemic, Hubs, Leisure centres, Vital maintenance on social housing etc? Do you think it is-was wrong to halt these services? Or are you only concerned about the service industry, like that Lisvane Blue, not a murmur about the poorest, most vulnerable etc having services cut, just butchers shops, camper vans and pubs-who'd have thought that from a Tory :hehe:

Everyone has been hard hit, these past 13 months.
My daughter in law has been in tears, as she hasn’t been able to call on her patients, only conducting tinternet meetings.
I believe Duckford and his cronies, have been slow in a lot of decisions. It’s ok people saying he’s being thoughtful, I just think he’s to far past it and should retire to an old folks home

I wish pubs could open, and that we could watch some live sport, and that shops didn't have to close. It seems that those subjects (for some) have outweighed the fact that kids have missed a year of schooling, public services stopped, affecting the poorest and most vulnerable, Counciling and social services couldn't reach kids on at risk registers. We have a real problem on our hands when this is over. Yet, shops were shut, pubs were closed, restaurants, Butchers shops, Car dealerships etc all closed for periods. Bad for jobs, bad for the economy.
What does concern me is that those who have moaned about shops, Butchers shops, fishmongers and pubs, haven't seemed to have the same conviction over vital public services that were shut down. You'd think that they would have, considering their dislike of the WAG and in most cases, Cardiff City Council, neither of which are perfect, far from it. Not a squeek, odd that.

Who is this Duckford bloke? Perhaps he supports Weeds, Abertawe Town, Sjoke or Palarse  Instead of making up silly childish names and whinging about perceived slights on, more or less, your human rights have a thought for folk who through jumping the gun on relaxing previous lockdowns can only visit their nearest and dearest up Thornhill or Western Cemeteries. I feel fortunate that me and mine have so far got through the pandemic unscathed and while I can’t wait for things to get back to normal, or as normal as it can get, and people who’ve been hit hard financially can hopefully get back on their feet our health is the be all and end all. Without it, getting back on your feet would be nigh on impossible.
