Will have to knuckle down and win the game anyway but so far this re-arranged fixture has meant i) greater distance to travel, ii) greater admin cost and iii) players unable to go.
- 1st up is Finland: Wednesday 1 September 2021 \ 19:00

Is that our name now? Wales/Cymru?

Well it is our country's name in our country's native language :sherlock:

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
If forced to choose between the two, I'd go with Cymru, besides that - didn't realise just how decimated our squad was for this game, might be tricky - grab your boots lads, TIT we're going to need a coach pronto!

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
My Welsh team for today;-
Ward
Gunter
Lockyer
Lawrence
Davies
Allen
Smith
Levitt
Johnson/Colwill (think I'd just go with Johnson if pushed)
Bale (on the right if Colwill plays and a false number nine if it's Johnson)
James

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
That's my guess as how we'll line-up with announced team. I was expecting to see Levitt or Smith in the side as they gave us some go forward against Finland but they can come off the bench.

It'll be tough from here. Even if we score 2 we've gotta keep em out!

That goal has knocked the stuffing out of us.

I thought there was a lot of support for playing with kids.

Even before the goal and though they'd done f all to threaten our defensive set up looked a mess - no pace, no organisation and over confident. Gunter has been a great servant but WTF was he doing. He's only there because of his experience and he commits a school boy error or just plain stupidity and .the 2nd goal.... Grrrrr

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
Page being out done tactically again. Need some second half with lack of options of the bench

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
1. Pitch isn't helping us pass it around. I initially thought it was 3G because we've not looked this bad since Andorra away.
2. Gunter is far, far too experienced to be making that mistake. He's defended well against France (pre-Euros friendly) and in Rome but that was a shocker.
3. We conceded twice away against Croatia with Lawrence and Mepham as a back two and, if memory serves me, one was a similar goal. Not enough pace to play as a two?
4. Regardless of what happens now, it's still so important to get as many people down the CCS on Wednesday.
5. Colwill's played okay. Small positives, eh?

Lawrence looks out of his depth against the pace of the opposition forwards

I'd really like James to use his left foot
