Big improvement needed in the 2nd half

Let's have a look at Bowen on for Vaulks.
He may go for it as we still have pack on to take long throws....ball will only fly over his head anyway.

Hes still trying things. You type like he's completely out of confidence and not trying to do anything, yet he's always showing further up the pitch etc.
Hes getting forward but no **** can slide a ball into him. It’s pitiful. It really is.

Picture's not the greatest though
That’s what it looked like to me, it was a more difficult ball to control than it should have been, but it was still careless by Colwill I think it was.
Think there might be a few tea cups being thrown at half time in the City dressing room.

Not good
Were not winning the ball. We give it away when we have it.
Not a good half for our Academy starlets

He can’t do any worse than Vaulks. To call him a headless chicken would be an insult to poultry.

Agreed, why not? I'd take jim bowen before vaulks.

This mob aren't intelligent enough to come up with a plan like that, put it down to a brain dead midfielder feckin' up the throw.
Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Chill. We’re a second half team!

But that's the tactics, no options, get the ball forward as quickly as possible. We need someone around Moore, although the service he's had has been appalling.

I agree with you, which is why that had to have been a training ground move that went horribly wrong. As much as you don't like Vaulks, I don't believe for one minute that wasn't a planned move. It was rubbish though.

That's a fair shout in all honesty.

Shot is probably the wrong choice of word.
His positioning isn’t in question and surely that would come from the manager.
His passing has been very poor.

Just said the same thing before reading your post. That wasn't supposed to happen!

The tactics are not win the ball and then play a simple 5 yards pass back to the opposition. Count the number of times it happens!
Often, not even under pressure.
Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
BBC stats confirm that no fouls were given against Coventry in the first half - I missed the first few seconds, but all I can remember in what I saw is one offside for us.
Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Nelson has that same old pained expression on his face whenever anything he tries doesn't come off. He's a League One player.
Despite a bright start when he first joined us, NG offers nothing.
Then there's Vaulks....

I think all the passing has been poor. I love the way Coventry try to keep the ball alive. That goal was gorgeous to watch and they're really quick up the park. There'd been two warnings they were going to score like that...and they did.

Ball on the floor, players running into space, well executed passes, a clinical finish = beautiful football
