    Re: Trust..CCFC big row brewing

Am I right in thinking the Trust has been given access to a room under the Ninian stand for several seasons?
Never many folk there, as I recall - but presumably the Club has continued to provide...

  4. Re: Cardiff City have agreed deals with transfer targets, says Steve Morison

Apparently he's been given a transfer fund of 80m
  5. Re: What can't you do now that you used to be able to when younger

Being positive, what I can do now that I couldn't do when I was younger is play the guitar and write better - which is all down to time and practice.

    Re: Fury v Whyte

Anyone see the docu about Freddie Mills death?
    Showed some of his fights.
Now that was brutal - even allowing for the added sound effects.
    And they were light heavies....
    Weren't the gloves less...

    Re: Fury v Whyte

I was watching the fight and didn't see the uppercut in real time.
Suddenly, Whyte was on the canvas and the commentator was going on about an uppercut.
Seemed to take ages before they found a clip...

    Re: 91,648

It's prolly me, but its mite hard to take women's football too seriously when you get a scoreline: Georgia 0-15 Sweden: 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers.
  10. Re: Ballpark cost of changing to a combi boiler in 90s 2 bed bed house?

Make sure new boiler is 'hydrogen ready'.
  11. Re: Ballpark cost of changing to a combi boiler in 90s 2 bed bed house?

Had a Combi fitted by Heatforce last November. The location had to be changed as previously we had a back boiler but the rads were there. Cost 3K. But it depends on who you use to fit it. I...

    Re: World cup draw

'Tis a crying shame you lot are so inward-looking and unaware of World Cup history.

I need to remind youse that the United States defeated England 10 on 29 June 1950, in a group match of the 1950...
  16. Re: An astonishing aerial view of central Cardiff from 1923

What you see here is the canal on the left and, on the right, the straight run of Bute Street with the railway beside. To the left of it is Butetown, with Loudon Square, Frederica and Christina...
  17. Re: An astonishing aerial view of central Cardiff from 1923

Yeah that's what I see. You can actually see the start of Central Station platforms bottom left if you blow-up the photo. The bridge at the north end of Bute Street is plainly visible. I first...
  18. An astonishing aerial view of central Cardiff from 1923

A few weeks ago I posted a view of the Maindy area of Cardiff which sparked some interest, so I'm posting another view. I say it's 'astonishing' partly because of the course of a canal through the...

  22. Re: Does Arnautovic duck out of Bale's free-kick...?

I think Bales does stuff that is unique to him. I watched him during his spell at Spurs and his flicks and laying the ball off were mesmerising - and improved, the fitter he became. Even on Thursday...
  23. Re: If you could go back in time and see bands which ones would they be ?

Saw most of the Motown greats mentioned in a package show that included Stevie Wonder in 1965. The gig was only three-quarters full and they had to pad out the bill with Georgie Fame...
  24. Re: If you could go back in time and see bands which ones would they be ?

    He wasn't a footballer.
He was what used to be described as a blue beat singer.
  25. Re: If you could go back in time and see bands which ones would they be ?

I've heard of Bobby Patrick - they were a 'Pool group.
I also saw Sounds Inc backing Gene Vincent and Brenda Lee. Vincent had the best act I've ever seen. He was mesmerising and hypnotic.
