Re: If Bulut Stays-Can He Succeed?

O’Dowda started five games this season. The side’s record in those games was won 1, drew 1, lost 3. The only victory in which he played the full 90 minutes was the 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday...

Re: If Bulut Stays-Can He Succeed?

Had you been managing the side, where would you have played O’Dowda (aka the Irish Messi)?

    Re: Joel Colwill

He’s the manager, these things happened on his watch, so he’s responsible in my book. If he isn’t, then what is he? Just a coach?

    Re: Lovely to See -Futsal

That’s because you’re delusional. The way Bulut sets up his team has absolutely nothing to do with Futsal and it’s the polar opposite to how you predicted it would be. His links with Futsal are...

    Re: Erol Bulut

If Lee Trundle had endorsed Bulut it would have been good enough for you.

    Re: Joel Colwill

Bulut brought in Siopis and Turnbull, and gave new contracts to Wintle and Ralls. Therefore, my hopes for a midfield upgrade are somewhat limited.

In that case, the ‘revolution’ has thus far been a hopeless failure.

    Re: Erol Bulut

Has Mozzer2 become a parody account?
  11. Re: One step forward, two steps back Cardiff finish their home season with another defeat.

Over the course of the campaign we’ve been considerably luckier than any other City team I’ve witnessed during my 49 years as a supporter, so there’s a good chance we have been luckier than them.
  12. Re: One step forward, two steps back Cardiff finish their home season with another defeat.

Lots of clubs part ways with managers after mediocre mid-table seasons. Cardiff wouldn’t be the first by any means.
  13. Re: One step forward, two steps back Cardiff finish their home season with another defeat.

So who was responsible for recruiting a decent striker? It was obvious this time last year that the club didn’t have one. It still doesn’t have one. So why not?

    Re: Win rate v Entertainment?

When would you say that was?
  17. Re: Significant Stats from a Strange Season

It's a clear indication of the genuine quality of the side and the levels of entertainment it offers to its paying customers.

Plenty of fans were seemingly content to accept the tedious mediocrity...
  18. Re: One step forward, two steps back Cardiff finish their home season with another defeat.

Ordinarily I’d agree with you, but this season has thrown up so many stats that would suggest otherwise. It’s been an extremely strange campaign all things considered.

City are going to finish in...
  19. Re: One step forward, two steps back Cardiff finish their home season with another defeat.

I’m amazed anyone who has watched City’s home games this season would make such a suggestion. Our mob have been totally outplayed on a number of occasions in losses that haven’t come down to late...

    Re: Goal difference, my barometer

City are 17th on goals scored, 18th on goals conceded and 18th on goal difference.

Meanwhile, only three teams have lost more games (Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham and Rotherham), and City have...
  21. Re: Significant Stats from a Strange Season

It's now 31 league games without City managing to beat an opponent by two or more goals, 32 games without the side scoring three or more goals in a Championship fixture and yet another defeat by two...

    Re: Lap of Honour

Meanwhile, the vast majority of people in the 'big' crowd had already headed home.
  23. Re: One step forward, two steps back Cardiff finish their home season with another defeat.

The football during home games has generally been dull, defensive and utterly sterile, and yet the side has ended up losing the same number of games at the CCS as last season's relegation strugglers...
  24. Re: That wasn't the worst hammering at home we have seen as city fans

Worst home defeat since April 2022.
