  1. Dave Bowman, New Recruitment Consultant At Cardiff City

Happened to stumble across this while perusing the Ipswich Town forum, trying to get further information about our new defender Mark McGuinness.

Worked with MM and TC before.

Re: Following the Coca Cola Incident

For sure, the locals won't soil their hands. You are right, mostly Indian and Sri Lankan workers. Not even the traditional cheap labour markets of Indonesia and the Philippines would touch this...

Re: All credit to David Marshall.

We can agree on one thing - we've been blessed with some wonderful keepers in our history. It seems like it's the one position we do get right.

Re: Following the Coca Cola Incident

That figure is difficult to get your head around, isn't it? You just picture in your mind's eye the makeshift coffins leaving the various sites every week. How could such a thing, in an oil-rich...

Re: Spare a thought for Ryan Giggs

Danny Wilson was always a sombre, unsmiling character, whenever I saw him working the doors (okay, perhaps understandable in that profession) and he looked exactly the same whenever 'relaxing' over a...

Re: Spare a thought for Ryan Giggs

What, better than Bale? - No way!
Giggs had pace, but Bale was another level. Bale could influence a game far greater than Giggs.

    Re: FT: TURKEY 0 - 2 WALES.

On the basis of his performance against the Swiss, there were legitimate calls for him to be dropped. He would have been more aware of this than anyone. He certainly pulled it together this evening,...

Re: TURKEY v WALES. Wed June 16th ko 5pm

You could well be right. Particularly when you consider Moore is just one booking away from missing the Italy game.

Re: SCOTLAND v CZECH REPUBLIC. Mon 14th June ko 2pm

For me it's the way their fans come bowling along into any city that has the misfortune to host them.
They can't just be a part of the occasion - no, they have to feel THEY are the occasion,

Re: Joe Day returns to Newport.

That's what I was thinking. You could have had me sat on the bench, does it mean I "did my job"?
  13. Re: ONE OF A DISAPPEARING KIND ... SERGIO AGUERO

Yup, you're right. I think Zola, when he was at Chelsea, did a similar thing, gave all the staff expensive watches.
  14. Re: ONE OF A DISAPPEARING KIND ... SERGIO AGUERO

I might be wrong on this, but I was thinking the OP was referring more to Aguero's humbleness, rather than his undoubted prowess on the football field (as well as his benevolence!)
  15. Re: Hottest Place You Have Ever Been To

To be honest, I have not met many people who say they can cope better with humid heat than dry heat.

After a shower, I often have to stand in front of a fan while attempting to towel myself dry....
  16. Re: Hottest Place You Have Ever Been To

What a summer that was, eh!
I remember it actually rained quite heavily, one early evening. I made no attempt to get out of the rain, it was just a relief to feel somewhat cool, albeit very wet!

    Re: NBA Anyone?

I was never into basketball, until I came to China. The sport is massive here, it's just they're not very good at it at the higher level.
Nevertheless, it sparked an interest in me and now I'm...

    Re: 2 new signings incoming

Well, if he didn't actually say they were "new players" he also wouldn't be able to say "incoming" in relation to Bennett, Bamba and Brown either.

Try anti-glare film. I think it's available on ebay at a reasonable cost.

I should add that I don't have any personal experience of these screens.
