Re: Greatest Actor on TV……Got To Be….

When I saw the title of the thread my first thought was John Thaw. Timothy Spall however is right up there aswell.

Re: May 17, 2008 at 7pm miserable moment.

Robbie Fowler should've been in the squad. He had been injured but was declared fit the week before. JFH was dead on his feet from half time and Fowler would have been better option.

Re: Quite a day for Scottie Scheffler!

I watched some of the golf last night and the commentators seemed to be sympathetic towards him, which was a little uncomfortable. Misunderstanding, as he described it, or not, he's still been...

Re: Who's going to blink first then?

I don't think his family fancy moving over here for just a year, so unless it's a longer offer he won't sign.

    Re: Spurs v Man City

Very odd atmosphere at the moment- it's quite quite.
  8. Re: Another stat showing it's been a season of extremes

I was expecting stats on the extreme amount of rainfall we've had over the Autumn and Winter.

    Re: Greatest Band/Group……..Got to Be……

Disappointed that there's been no mention of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds so far, but that's the beauty of music - taste is all subjective.
Also, has Mozzer mentioned The Smiths?

What a tool that guy is. I wouldn't say that to his face though.

    Re: Foodies Festival

I saw a few people locally offering what appeared to be freebies over the weekend. Whether some were released, as sales were low I'm not sure.
What's the difference anyway between a music festival...

    Re: Play offs this weekend

Little quiz question to think about -
After beating MK Dons, Crawley will now play at Wembley for the first time. There's still 1 current football league team who haven't played there. Who?

Re: Eurovision Tonight . MOTD on BBC2 .

    I enjoyed it.
Good entertainment, some decent performances, a bit of comedy and a few catchy tunes.
The voting however was dull. Reminded me of an hour down the city this season.

    Re: Old Firm Classic?

Terrible decision over the pelanty. OReilly moved his leg to get contact, but the ref bottled it and wouldn't change his mind.

No other county managed to take 10 wickets on day 1, so credit where credit's due. Can we take 10 more though?

Re: Fancy a pint....at The Vulcan?

I don't need all this craft ale. Give me a decent pint brewed by a decent established brewer such as Green King, Flowers, Badgers, Theakstons or Ruddles.
It's such a relief to find a pint of Abbot...

There must be about 20 or more variations of Drakeford that have appeared on here.

Re: Another Tory MP defects to Labour.

Isn't (wasn't) she on the right side of the Tories?
Bit of an odd one really. I'd have thought Reform or standing as an independent would have been a more suitable move.

Re: Cameron Jerome, age 37, still going

He's out of contract at the end of the season. Worth a punt? I'm joking of course.

650+ games is a pretty good career by anyones standards, especially for an outfield player.
