Thread: Educating Cardiff - Willows

    Educating Cardiff - Willows

Starts tonight. Having moved to Splott, this is likely to be the school I send my kids to

Interesting to see how the school comes out of it all.

Its easy to laugh at the previous series as they are the other side of the country, this one is just round the corner. Could be cringe-worthy.

    Re: Educating Cardiff - Willows

Can anyone beat this for the number of schools attended in Cardiff?

    Caerau Lane infants
    Kitchenor Road infants
    Trelai juniors
    Landsdowne
    Albany Road
    Kitchenor Road junior
    St Joseph's
    Radnor Road
    Trelai juniors (second time)
    Cyntwell
    Cantonian

And no, I wasn't excluded from any of them. (It was all due to warring parents.)

The stint in a catholic school was a real eye-opener, I must say. I was admonished by a nun in the art class for painting bats coming out of a belfry in a dark and purplish sky.
And I remember a picture of Jesus on the wall at the top of a set of steps: each child in the class was represented by a figure of a child pinned at the foot of the steps - and progress upwards was determined by meritous actions as judged by the teachers. Throw in the catechism and it was all rather bizarre.
