My mate wasn't dealing with it well at all so asked me to stay with them so I could take in what the doctors were saying and help explain it to him. Obviously I had no problem. Then late at night he takes a turn for the worse and after about an hour the specialist wants to see us all to explain.

My mate wasn't dealing with it well at all so asked me to stay with them so I could take in what the doctors were saying and help explain it to him. Obviously I had no problem. Then late at night he takes a turn for the worse and after about an hour the specialist wants to see us all to explain.The meeting was basically brutal and telling us that the kid would be lucky to make the night, she held no punches. With that I look over to my mate and he's fallen a sleep. I apologised to the specialist and said it had been a long day for him, she looked and smiled and said she'd seen similar things plenty of times and not to worry as people deal with it all in different ways.
