    correct, he is taking the piss out of Farage completely here. I hope Murray gives him a bloody nose.

    Farage will lap this up

    1 - he can take a joke, and that is a strength of his. As long as he accepts it, he'll do well

    2 - politically motivated leftists who will revel in the satire were unlikely to vote UKIP anyway

    3 - Farage will be able to point to a lot of what Al Murray says and suggest that while it's fun to make light of issues, they are serious issues that need highlighting, and he's the man to sort them.

    Personally, I'd say this makes a Farage victory more, not less, likely.
