Marshall is the best City keeper I've seen at the City.
Remember Gavin Ward clearly being too good for us and was disappointed he had a solid rather than distinguished career thereafter
Thought David Williams was pretty impressive before going off the rails
special mention to Neil Alexander for 3 superb performances when we got promoted via the play-offs

Kevin McClaughlin, joined Ebbw Vale after conceding ten goals against Moscow Dynamos!
When it was jumpers for goal posts in the playground I was always Fred Davies (or Lev Yashin!)
Wasn't there a time when we weren't naming a sub keeper. And if need be Leggy would have to go in. Or was that a dream I had?Originally Posted by Super Roger Gibbins wrote on Mon, 19 January 2015 15:08

Ron Healey ... Good fella , coached my youth team for a while , when still playing for the city . He told the Echo that he saved so many penaltys because he studied the opposition , but told us it was bollocks and down to luck on the day.
aye aye aye aye Davies is better than Yashin, and Toshack is better than Eusabio, and Arsenal are in for a thrashing.
Tony Warner.
Who else ever told jokes and pulled daft shapes to entertain the the front rows of the Grange End.
Unfortunately, the goalkeeping was less amusing.
Ron Howells best City keeper in my time, nobody mentioned Graham Vearncombe either.
I remember Graham had an off licence and he used to have adverts in the City programmes.Originally Posted by GRUMPYS DEN wrote on Mon, 19 January 2015 22:35

Tom Heaton
Kasper Schmeical.
Favourite hes got no hair but we don't care georgie wood.
Think marshalls form over past two seasons makes him best as some of saves last year were unbelievable. Hasn't been st peak this year though and injury seems to have really effected him for a while.
I see that our posts have been culled not before time
Not everyone though
David Forde v David Nugent will live long in the memory
First vote for Mark Walton.
