On Facebook. How come I'm suddenly getting people being suggested that have absolutely no connection to anyone of my list of friends? They are however in my contacts on my phone

Because you allow FB access to your contacts ( be it. on your phone or e.mail list )

FB then cross reference your phone numbers and e.mail address's

thats it, fairly simple and nothing sinister that " they " are watching you

I have say I don't really use Facebook very much and I would never put photos of my kids on there. In fact despite never having posted a single photo on there of any kind, there is a library of about a hundred photos of me. I didn't reslise Facebook has access to my phone book. Bugger this I think I'll delete myself off it, It's full of rubbish anyway.

Let's hope that will be the end of it. Digital information is copied so very quickly and no database is safe from leaking, not even databases belonging to the security services.

Our kids wont mind - really - if we don't use them as pawns in a 'look at my perfect life' , like-fest

I saw a FB post only yesterday where the wife of a 'friend' (well..) had snapped a pic of half a dozen (strewn on the bed

!) holiday brochures - a couple of them open , and a few bits and bobs of holiday planning paraphernalia, and paper, and pen, including a list with writing pros / cons of destinations, complete with notes and crossing out.
