    Firefox

My wife's laptop now has ask as it's browser and it appears to run within firefox.
I have deleted firefox and downloaded it anew, but ask still comes up.
Can anyone advise how to permenantly get rid of ask and get the normal firefox back please?
    thanks...

    Re: Firefox

This is from Google: Select " Extensions" option in the right pane of the "Add-ons Manager" window and select all the extensions that are associated with Ask.com, such as Ask Toolbar. Just click on the "remove" (or uninstall) button to get rid of them entirely; no need to bother with "disable." Clean out other unknown extensions, as well.

not sure tbh, but just removing firefox probably doesn't get rid of all of Firefox, the user folders that is generally contained in the AppData Folder in Windows has a lot of Firefox stuff still there.

Shortcut to extensions is CTRL SHIFT and A pressed together when in Firefox.

Then on the left click on Extensions.

Might be worth checking for unwanted programs - you may have a prog installed that will add extensions when you aren't looking.
