A drive over Exmoor to Lymouth and then a trip on the funicular railway up to Lynton before walking down did it for me.
Yesterday's destinations were Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. All in the interests of showing a Belgian friend the magic of the West Country.

Spent a night 'next door' at Budleigh Salterton - nice there.
I though Ladram Bay was a private caravan park?

Yeah it is now but it never used to be, used to go there quite a bit when I was a kid, lovely place, we have been camping there since it changed and there is not much stopping you going down to the private beach from what I remember.

It's common knowledge on here that I only spread good cheer and bonhomie. People feel enriched when they come in contact with me. Don't ask me how, or why (or even, when) It's a gift!

Never heard of it, to be honest. Just looked it up on the map though. Worth a visit I take it?

Yeah it's a lovely beach, nice small pebbles too, none of that sand rubbish.

Another lovely spring day today. A little chillier than yesterday due to a persistent easterly breeze but lovely and uplifting all the same. Shame I was tied up in client meetings for much of the day.

    Absolutely!
Today, I took a leaf out of your book and, inspired, attacked le jardin. Dug the borders over; scarified the lawn and cleaned out the greenhouse. Thanks for setting a wonderful example. Any piccies of yer garden, I wonder? Would love to see them!

^^ TBF, your caption suggestion there is excellent, and very self-effacing, but I just call it 'man tied up while colleagues laughingly leave him'.
