is he fook nearly took Blackburn down
Leave this be for a week at least .
Paul Lambert is fecking shit
Going into last 2 games and lowest we can finish would be 8th.....considering what has been going on at the club for some time, it seems some still have very unrealistic expectations for the club. Slade has steered us through a very rocky period and as far as im concerned I wouldn't be disappointed if he were in charge for 1 more season at least.
Well said. Agree 100 per cent. Didn't Paul Lambert take Norwich down from the premier league as well ?. The only change that I would make is to bring Craig Bellamy in as a coach instead of Scott Young, with a view to taking over eventually from Slade when he has had enough.
He should have a 10 year contract after that fantastic display today . To go away and only lose 3-0 against a massive club like Sheffield Wednesday shows how far we have come with Slade at the helm . We would have lost that game 4-0 with Ole in charge .
Lambert shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Cardiff . Reading between the lines he is Celtic bound.
Unrealistic expectations for our club? We aren't the club that came up from the 4th division anymore, we used to be playoffs every season, we had a season in the top flight, sorry, but I don't think it's unrealistic to expect us to at least challenge in an important game, or to beat teams like MK dons, Rotherham et al. The bloke is not a championship manager.
As I said, many have unrealistic expectations as you have just manage to prove. Since the halcyon days of reaching the playoffs and winning the league the club has been through a lot of negative turmoil. Through a lot of poor decision making before, during and since our brief visit to the "promised land" the club has been torn apart from the inside out. Now on the face of it at last it seems that a lot of the wrongs are being put right and RS who is clearly not a great manager has been a big part of righting the wrongs whilst seemingly having had 1 arm tied behind his back.
I agree that the challenge we put up in the last few games has been poor, however teams like MK Dons and Rotherham are in this league on merit and to assume we should beat them is naive, especially this season as we are nothing special ourselves. And to your final point, RS is a championship manager, and a top half one at that and if you think he isnt, then what does that make any manager that finishes below 8th.
Do you really think that the position a club finishes is fully indicative of a manager's ability? That's nonsense.
Take manager A. He misses out on the playoffs by a point. The club sells all of its best players and the side gets relegated the season after. Does he then become a much worse manager than before, because by league position he would be.
Take manager B. He's a manager of a bottom half Championship side who then signs for the team in the automatic promotion places. He gets the side promoted. Had he not moved his original side wouldn't have finished in the top half. Would he be a better manager simply because he's joined a club with better players or is his managerial ability unchanged?
Of course its not as straight forward as I have suggested , take Colin for arguments sake as he only arrived at the Rotherham fairly recently and has done wonders. Point is that over a full season with us he has put us firmly top half of the league, if your saying a full season isn't reflective of a manager then what is?
From the frying pan into the fire..
CLUB NEEDS NEW COACHES AND NEW MANAGER AND NEW PLAYERS WE ARE A LAUGHING STOCK
