So really this is anti-Labour and Carwyn Jones remaining in power?
Perhaps the other parties should look at themselves and ask why they all failed miserably to unseat the ruling party.
I think Plaid in particular are sticking two fingers up to the electorate and sulking because we did not vote for them in sufficient numbers. A bit embarrassing for the self-styled "Party of Wales."
It's providing an alternative, ffs how many time do we have to tell you.
Labour don't have a majority, two parties entered for fm, and they drew. 57% of people voted for a party that voted for Leanne wood, 43% voted for one that didn't. Take that how you will.
Whether you like it or not, that's how it is. Stop crying about it ffs
On the basis that they would be rather strange bedfellows and the fact that Leanne Wood categorically ruled out any deals with the Tories and UKIP. Watch the television debates if you don't believe me.
Looks like it's all about power for Ms. Wood, certainly above any principles she may hold.
The posters on here who form "Team Carwyn" appear a little less than pleased with today's events. Ah, well, the look on his face when the result was announced was priceless.
Let's have a good old coalition running the WG, it cannot possibly be any worse than the previous incumbents.
I'm no expert on politics but anything that makes labour realise that they don't have an automatic right to stroll into power in Wales can only be a good thing.
That could've been the case...if the Tories had refused to go into any kind of coalition with anyone. As it happened they formed a coalition government with the Lib-dems.
Labour today refused to even take Leanne Wood's advice of 'pausing for a week to have further discussions on this', and so have ended up in the mess they're currently in.
They need the backing of another party that isn't LD to pass a budget. its up to them to get that backing, not the other parties. Now that they've made this attack on plaid about being with ukip and tories, plaid are the only party they can get backing from without being seen as hypocrites. Not such a cheap date now eh. Great move by plaid
