    Weren't the rugby ones largely paid for by sponsors like brains?
    Also the tournament was in the same country, so there would have been plenty of travelling fans to fill the fan zones.

    Personally I'd much rather watch it in a pub, I don't think there would be the demand for this.

    I'm baffled at some of the responses on here. If you prefer to watch it in the pub then fair enough, but why even comment on this thread then? Let people have fan-zones if they want them. The councils' responses are equally as bad. I'm pretty sure fan-zones would actually bring in money, so stretch your 'tight budgets' and coin in you lazy ****ers

    The Tramshed is having a big screen etc for every Wales match with free entry

    Why not - the more venues showing the game around the city the easier it's going to be to get a pint in your preferred watering-hole.

    I've signed, but can't see the point.
    Fan zones are usually next to the grounds hosting matches. Also one game is at 2pm on a Thursday and another is at 8 on a Monday. I think it'll be fairly easy to get a pint anywhere.
