Despite his heroics in France his record sucks, plus his wages would dwarf ALF's and be similar to Macheda with zero improvement to the City squad!
I'd be very surprised if he wasn't training with someone. I'm 99% sure he is. He's a decent player and was fantastic for us in the Euros. However as correctly pointed out here, he's not as good as he thinks he is. Old Hal's got a bit of an ego, but we still love him to bits.
He is welsh so fits the bill but will want to much money so he wont be coming to us.
