    It may be the case that his football career wasn't going anywhere but this is surely one of the oddest retirement stories from football. It may also indicate that you can earn enough from being a youth player at Man City that you can retire fairly comfortably aged 24, although I'm sure his religion means more to him than I can understand.

    A non-story.

    Should be read as "person who plays football thinks a sky god exists".

    I'd prefer a religion free world where if you are not happy at any job you can change careers without it being headlines. For ****s sake I and most people will have done that in their lifetimes.

    The story is a waste of disk space.

    (Not having a go at the OP, just how shit journalists these days are.)
