The player who scored the only goal in my first ever City game.

I remember him well, a fine player.

I think his last appearance at Ninian Park would have been in the Aberfan Disaster Fund game in 1966 when he was subject to a lot of light hearted banter from Glyn Potter (I think) of Radio Ninian over the tannoy

    RIP Mel

I was lucky to see Mel play for the City during the 60s along with Allchurch. Great player, and will be missed by the football world. There are a few clips on You tube featuring Wales with Mel in 1958 WC. Super footballer.

Why no mention on Club's official site?
    Very poor.
