Thread: Next Manager ?

    Next Manager ?

Edinburgh, Lagerback, Nathan Jones, Page , Bellamy, Steve Bruce..............Bruce would probably be the best bet. Don't particularly like him, but he'd keep us in the league and possibly a bit more. Sell 3 players to fund the signing. Job done.

    Re: Next Manager ?

I'd be surprised if we attracted any manager of genuine repute. Pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless.

Warnock or Bruce, but I don't think we've a sniff of either.

Showers will become frequent and heavy through this afternoon and into the evening, with thunderstorms also possible. The showers will gradually clear from the west this evening but are likely to continue well into the night over Norfolk.

Please be aware of the risk of localised surface water flooding and difficult driving conditions.Pass it to big Ken.Back of the net.

Because of our sustainable financial model and well-intentioned chairman.

One of Tan's relatives on work experience is most likely.
    Can't be worse than trollope.

    Re: Next Manager ?

There were complaints about the style of football under Malky (though this was largely forgotten due to the positive feeling in the first year as DJ's old school style was replaced) and under Slade. If what was so welcome on paper with Trollope's appointment is going to be the way we want this club to be run (youth development, focus on togetherness, community feel, modern approach, passing football) then we can't call for a manager who is going to take us back to Malky (who was at least a hybrid) or Slade, but we're also going to have to accept that this squad is not yet fully set up for that style and there will be a difficult period. We're also going to have to recognise that other clubs who have made the switch have faced difficulties when they haven't had the money or the set-up to accommodate it.

malky... of all the polava the only recent manager who knew how to get the team actually going

    Re: Next Manager ?

Trollope is not going anywhere. Tan doesn't give a toss about Cardiff City. We'll be relegated this season and Tan will walk away next summer once he's got the cheque for the last parachute payment from the Premier League safely in his wallet.

    Re: Next Manager ?

We appear to be in chronic decline and there is a deep depression around the club and that is not JT's fault. It goes back to the time Slade was appointed? The so called fans who constantly berated and undermined Slade have to take some responsibility for what is going on at our club?
THen there is the role of the owner and his "management" team..... Choo and Delhman. IF you sell or give away your most popular players aginst the wishes of your fanbase, your coaches and playing squad and then bring in players without the involvement of your coaching staff then you end up like we are. THere are players at our club neither SLade or JT either want or wanted. Nobody other than Tan Choo and Delhman wanted Fabio Turner Marshall to go and god dont we need them now.
Relieving JT of his duties will not change things imo we cant change players till Jan and its more likely we will sell in Jan not buy

    Re: Next Manager ?

The reality is, whoever we have as our next manager will just be another puppet of the Owner. What is actually going to happen, in fact it already is is that we will now continue the decline until we get "Football men" from top to bottom.

    Some interesting names there.
Has to be someone with experience as this is no ordinary role.

Warnock would be my first choice because I feel he's just the man for it.
But there's a few more there that could do a job here

Hate to say it, but I agree with you 110%. As the Super Furry Animals once sang "The Man Don't Give A ****". And he hasn't, since the ref blew the whistle on our last premier league game

Bye Bye to local derbies against Bristol City & Swansea City. Hello again, Newport County!

Aren't we losing £1 million a month So how is he making any money out of Cardiff, can someone explain?

If Trollope does leave it I would still be willing to gamble on Bellamy

Yes we are, and Tan isn't sitting by the letterbox waiting for the last parachute payment cheque to arrive before he (somehow) sells the club and walks away.

He is still propping the club up every month and appears to be writing off his debts as promised in February (with a slight caveat about the regulatory authority delays in Malaysia that were reported a few weeks ago).

For all the massive mistakes made by Tan, and for all the ITK allegations about recruitment and team selection (I have never been ITK and am very unpersuaded) I think Tan has got more right than wrong in the past 18 months. Back to blue and clear the debt are the 2 biggies. If the appointment of Trollope turns out to be a mistake I doubt pride or revenge will determine what he and the Board does about it. If Tan wants to leave with his reputation partly repaired and some of his investment returned he needs to at least keep the club in the Championship and to get it back to the Premier League if possible.

Running it down through spite and then walking away would hurt him in all the ways that matter to him: reputation and pocket.
