The Leeds v Man City FA Youth Cup Final is tonight (Friday) at 7.00. I assume Charlie Crew will be playing.

Why has it become a one off game? The usual too much football excuse I suppose - funny, I just looked it up and the season we reached the Youth Cup Final, our first team played fifty eight games in all competitions. I bet there aren't too many sides around currently who are playing more than that this season.

Crew played in a 4-0 defeat for Leeds tonight. He's been voted their under-21 player of the season which is pretty impressive considering he's not 18 until next month. The future looks bright for him.

A 3-1 win for the u-18s at Crewe today. Osian Rees with two and Mannie Barton, a 16-year-old who seems to have had a strong finish to the season, with the other.

Feels like a very good season at that level. A few rogue results in there but overall it's been impressive, especially with so many of the stronger players moving up to play for the u-21s throughout the campaign. Beecher and Giles have got some pitch time for the first team, Lawlor, Twose and Mafico have made the bench. It's encouraging, let's hope these lads continue to make progress here.
