Regarding who could have played on Monday, I'd say that, for example, Jac Davies, Trystan Jones, Harry Pinchard, Sam Parsons and Ntazana Mayembe are all more established Academy team players who could have been considered.
Maybe, doubt it would've made a difference though. Bellamy's Academy side was put out for a DVP game last season as a rehearsal for the Youth Cup Final, Waite and Coxe played too as they were u19s at the time. Still got beaten 5-0 and that didn't flatter Notts Forest either. 3-1 doesn't sound too bad in comparison to that.

You seemed to be suggesting that the club was conducting some pointless experiment on Monday, I was just pointing out that they didn't have much choice in terms of selection and that, as they were all our players rather than trialists, there's something positive to be learnt by players and coaches alike from games like that, however soul destroying it can be for spectators.
