Ashford looks to be a different class. Wasn't sure Conte meant that finish, but give him credit on the replay he knew exactly what he was doing.
Thought the goalkeeper could have done a bit better with it, but a lovely goal - well worked and a neat finish.

Burnley look physically stronger. Struggling with their press.
Burnley slightly better in the first half but one way traffic second half. Not sure if Ashford picked up a knock or was a tactical decision. Defense seems very uncomfortable playing out from the back once Burnley cottoned on to the fact they could be pressured.
Their press is a lot better - I trust taking Ashford off wasn’t a tactical change
Maybe scouts at the game? In all fairness I think Jefferies has shown some decent stuff coming on, but clearly a very different player to Ashford and City have found it significantly more difficult to maintain possession since.

Where did this phrase come from? You rarely hear a report these days without it being mentioned. It sounds American to me.
