I took that to be Darren Purse talking about under 21 players.

Yeah, me too, although he seems to have miscounted. Not surprised at Leahy, but thought Pritchard looked quite useful.

Edit: Just noticed this has been discussed on the retained thread.

Quite interesting where Purse is talking about Tom Davies, and how that stint at Ponty will make it easier for him to get a better loan this season. Mentions that he wanted to do the same with Jai Semenyo but Semenyo refused to play in the Cymru Prem.

Not a great look for Semenyo.

Thought Semenyo was disappointing last season - he went backwards in my opinion.

I guess if Davies does get a decent loan at a higher level this year you could say the club's right. If he (and others who've had loans at that level) doesn't though, maybe Semenyo has a point. Hard to see where he goes from here though if he's refusing loans they're setting up for him.

Can't see any mention of Lennon Peake, so maybe he's the 6th man.

Some on twitter saying he is, but they're probably just guessing. He was given a contract just to the end of the season wasn't he, but then so was Wickham and he's mentioned?

Confirmation that Peake has gone, and also Kristensen https://twitter.com/dylaneric731/sta...87466770448384

So much for Lennon Peake being the answer to our midfield problems then

I'm not surprised, although it makes the decision to retain Antwi and in particular Conte a little odd.

Tom Davies' loan to Pontypridd being treated as a success in this article - it's hard to argue with that opinion if they're right about EFL clubs being interested in him for the coming season,

Only time will tell whether these Welsh club loans are the right way to go I suppose, but it looks promising for Davies.
Who else went to a Cymru Premier club last season? There was Leahy, who we've just released, and goalkeeper Turner - was there anyone else?

Caleb Hughes did as well didn't he? Haverfordwest I think.

I'd say that most of the loans to Welsh non league sides down the years haven't worked, but that doesn't mean that the odd one can't be a success - let's hope Davies gets a move to the EFL this season - he's one of those who needs to be doing more than playing under 23 games now.

Looks interesting, but the U21s have a friendly at Aston Villa on the 21st, so perhaps there'll be a mix of u18s too.

Good spot. That should be good experience for some of them.
