Not sure how he played last night but it's interesting to see that the BBC report of Saturday's game gave him man of the match.

He impressed at Morecambe and seems to have started well at Ross. Hope he gets his chance next season.

Derek Adams was his manager at Morecambe and has now taken him to Ross County, saying he's an excellent player.

Apparently Joel Colwill is set to stay at the club despite loan interest

Surely better off loaning him out than keeping him for the u21s? He needs senior football

Hard to draw any conclusions without more details.

Bulut said in December that he wanted him, and others, to go out on loan.

Like I said, no point in drawing any conclusions but it's interesting that the first three players Bulut names in that December article as needing loan spells, Joel Colwill, Ashford and Antwi, are all still here (as far as I'm aware).

They’re likely to be playing their football in a losing team as well, because the under 21 team, which was t doing well anyway, have lost a lot of players through loans in the last month. I suppose one interpretation might be that the word has come down from above that Colwill, Ashford and Antwi must play some Championship football especially if, as it probably will, the season turns into one of mid table mediocrity.

    And Ryan Kavanagh to Truro.
There's going to be no-one left!

I'm sure there'll be plenty of A.Trialists to take their place soon. That time of year when we start looking at players other clubs are releasing, football's equivalent of walking along a beach with a metal detector. Definitely worth a try though, especially as they won't be blocking our own youngsters from getting games this time round.

Is there an u21 game against Bristol City today?

This appeared on the club website earlier this morning but talks about a Monday 1.00 pm kick off. I'm pretty sure Monday was yesterday.

    Yes it's today.
I'm going along as it's about 15 minutes away from me.

Is today’s game being streamed? I can remember watching a stream of us coming back from 3-0 down to get a draw at the wurzels training ground a couple of years ago.

    Doesn't look like it is.

1-0 up at HT. Well taken goal by Ashford. Scrappy game with few chances. I don't think the conditions are helping. Colwill's been busy, Luthra made one good save. Johnson looks good, quick and involved at both ends.

2-1 now. Bristol equalised with a slightly deflected long range strike but a fantastic solo effort from Ashford to restore the lead.

Thanks, look forward to seeing that second goal by Ashford.

    FT 2-1 to us.

Decent 2nd half. Nice to see players in a Bluebirds shirt attacking at pace.

That’s why Bulut wanted Ashford and Joel Colwill out of the first team squad as soon as possible

It does make you wonder doesn't it, when other teams trust their youngsters.....
