Looked Watters effort was going wide to me.
Good run and finish for his second though, made easier by Harris's run which ooened up the gap.

Decent FK by Tomlin who looks to have lost a few pounds since last week.
Either that or he's chucked some body armour on

    3 nil. Watters.
    Defensively Watford ain't great.
Could be a cricket score here if they want it.

    Hoilett didn't practice LWB.

Was Tomlin taken off because he's in the mix for a squad place on Saturday or because they still don't think he can do ninety minutes? I'd say the latter.

I think they wanted to give some minutes to the kids as the game was won. Kavanagh looked decent when he came on

Was it the same formation with wing-backs we're becoming used to? If yes, what positions did Watters, Harris, Hoilett, Tomlin and Williams start off in and did it mix at all?

No, 4-4-2 with Bowen and Tomlin in central midfield, Hoilett on the right, Williams the left (although he came in field a lot) and maybe Harris played slightly behind Watters.

    Thank you

I like the sound of Harris behind Watters but Tomlin in CM seems odd given he's unlikely to play that position at senior level.

I hoped to see Hoilett given a go at Left Wing Back perhaps we already know he can play that role ?

I like the sound were trying something different.

It looks to me that the senior players did more than go through the motions, which is a good sign.

Yes, I think they did and the back four and Sam Bowen, who were the younger, more regular members of the side, didn’t suffer in comparison.

If these lads can fulfil their potential then it's a great chance to finally move our football out of the dark ages, even if half this board seems happy to stay there forever.

I'm sure Hoilett gave away the penalty by the way. Credit to him for tracking back, and I reckon the foul was outside the area, but if that was Dan Martin then I need better glasses.

A bit of reaction to today's game from Morison and Sam Bowen.
