It did cross my mind, as it would end up with the Democrats having to beg Trump for an alternative solution to Obamacare if the prices spiraled out control. Some Republicans opposed him, which I addressed above, but also all of the Democrats went against him, so they obviously still believe in Obamacare, or they just want him out of office along with those forementioned Republicans.
It doesn't matter what the Democrats think, the Republicans control everything. You've made an impressive list of excuses and Trump won't be taking the blame (he's already started shoving Ryan under the bus) but this goes down as another Trump defeat.
Being the opposing party the role of the Democrats is to get him out of office.

Until Obamacare came into effect being forced into purchasing healthcare insurance was an alien concept for Americans. The new paradigm is they still must be required to have insurance but with different rules. Originally the Republicans wanted to repeal Obamacare, then they switched to reform or replace so that big pharma and insurance companies would remain quids in whilst denying the right of anyone not to have insurance for their own health without being penalised in the form of fines. The US used to be all about individualism but has gradually become more collectivist.
It's hard to explain to those who view the MSM as some kind of bible, so you will just have to wait for the story to unfold in it's own good time. It's well known what role Ryan is playing and who he answers to. Let's just say it's all very murky

Iran stopped selling its oil for US dollars on March 21. That propelled them to the top of the to-be-smashed list. North Korea is patently a vassal Chinese state. China would never allow that buffer to be removed from their border.
