Joe Ralls gave a display that was full of authority last night. He has quietly developed over the last two seasons into a very good midfield player, one capable of holding his own in a top 6 Championship side.

He was so composed on the ball, his passing was crisp and precise and he was always looking to put us on the front foot, getting forward at pace. He was industrious, tenacious and his positional paly was exceptional. On a number of occasions he was in the right place to step in and intercept Sheffield United's attacking play.

What impressed me the most was the confidence with which he accepted passes in tight situations. When he was pressed, he simply glided past palyers to open space up for himself.

Perhaps he lacks the dynamism of a young Ramsey and the vision to produce defence splitting passes of Whittingham in his pomp but he is now a very, very good young midfield player who has been under appreciated by many of our fans.
