A plea to fellow fans. Let’s enjoy the lead up to Sunday.

Respect the squad - No more posts about who stays and goes
No more posts about plastics - we want a full house on Sunday. Make them all welcome.
No counting our chickens - we’re not there yet.
No need for pessimism - we can do it.

It’s time for a virtual group hug

I know what you mean but a healthy dose of pessimism calms me down.

I'm not prepared to participate in any of this. And I don't own any chickens.

And if we do lose, none of this 'bottling it ' crap and scapegoating.

This side has performed immensely this season.

Would be brilliant if we stayed and clapped them off whatever.

Don't forget - if we do lose then the next opportunity is only a few days away

    Exactly!

Anyway, fans who don't go to every game aren't plastics at all, they are supporting their local team.

It does my head in too.

Good post this, although I understand a bit of pessimism some people can't help it and we all cope differently I suppose.

Yes, that sort of passion this week would do no harm.

    A point about plastics.

I know plastic mancs and Liverpool fans that laugh and wind up Cardiff fans if we lose, not because they have a dislike for the club, but because of the attitude some Cardiff fans have towards them "you SHOULD support cardiff" etc.

Perhaps we should follow Iceland's lead and ban plastics? ...

    Just saying

That's because, deep down, they know they should

    Probably

But as they've chosen not to, some of the attitudes I've seen from our fans towards these other fans when they get back from city games and get fuelled up on booze is quite shit.

I remember walking down sloper road in 93 in our promotion year, bumped into a old work mate ( also regular city fan ) the place was rammed, he started shouting at people " where have you been all season you bunch of fooking plastics " at the time i found it slightly funny, but then pointed out to him " we have been here all season, we have have enjoyed the ride, these " plastics " will only experience the big games "
Thinking back, that worked at the time, i never missed a game all season, but of course different people have different Values and i certainly cannot make every game, but does that mean a fan who goes every game is better than me ? ?? of course it doesnt, was it David Tremme who had a rant about " cherry pickers " ? ? ?
It doesnt matter if you make every game or you are a new fan, who knows, that new fan might become a " regular ", what we do know is if that " new fan " is abused, he isnt likely to come back, of course, that might not matter if we get promoted, as a new fan ( for the premier league ) will take his / her seat anyway
