Sure I read or heard recently that there has been a record low this season for games finishing in draws

Just noticed that we've won the same number of games as Brighton and Southampton. They are 3 and 6 points clear of us respectively because they've drawn 3 and 6 more games than us.
If we were to win one of our last 3 games, we'd have 10 wins and it's rarer than Sludge having a shag for teams to go down with 10 wins. We could still feasibly win 11 games and go down because of goal difference.
Our never-say-die attitude has got us last gasp wins on so many occasions this season. We're still in their fighting. It's a cert to say that we'd have been relegated long ago hadn't we managed so many late winners. Have we had many occasions where we could have parked the bus and played for a point?

We've tried parking the bus a good few times but end up conceding really early.. This and Morrison is a one man set-piece conceding machine - put's it for a corner sooo many times when easier to off load to a full back, he just hasn't got any composure.
Eh? We hardly go hung ho at teams! We just concede and then can't get back into the game.
Brighton last 2 games have been soooooo defensive. Not sure we could be that disciplined without chasing round.
3 points for a win was brought in to make the game better to watch and it has worked.
Far too many sides were happy to play for a draw resulting in a piss poor spectacle. I remember watching Serie A games a lot (the only live football available on terrestrial tv) when there was a tv dispute over here and exciting games were few and far between.
Kudos to us for going for wins rather than draws (Leicester and Saints away spring to mind) even though we have not got the quality at the back to play for draws.
I really hope we dont see more of the awfully boring type of game that Brighton have resorted to against Wolves and Spurs creaping back into the game but it is a real possibilility with the gap between top and bottom widening all the time.
You have to stop the opposition scoring though.
City have looked good going forward at times this season but it will be the quality of defending this season that will have let us down should we get relegated.
Sadly it is a mixture of not scoring enough (second worse goals for with 30) and the third worst defence (65 conceded in 35 games).
0.86 goals per game on average with an average of 1.86 against means we are where we are.
It is a wonder we're still in with a shout but Brighton having not scored in 7 league games has played a big part in that.
It is do or die, knock out football from here on in.
Not got the players to hold the ball well, which is key to that and containment.
