The King is Dead, Long live the king !

Whoever takes the helm at City deserves all the support from the fans. Neil has taken the club a million miles further than anyone else. Time to thank him and move on.

Think if the club, fans and owners all get behind the new manager we can continue on the up.

Last thing we need is more division at our club. I remember when Malky came we had ten first team players. First season he took us to Wembley second season promotion.

    Up the city!

Warnock deserves his place in Cardiff’s managerial hall of fame but the shock move of replacing him pre Christmas clearly shows the boards positivity in moving forward with the international break helping immensely!!

Greatest Cardiff City manager of all time without a shadow of a doubt. At least in the modern era.

He achieved one promotion, one relegation and a mid table start.

There are other aspects to take into consideration like his ability to motivate players and fans alike and his promotion on an average budget.

Greatest manager without a shadow of a doubt is a bit ott.

The same losers will start on the new manager just as they did on Sir Neil.

Why are they losers? Football fans have criticised managers, players, chairmen, owners since time immemorial, you must be pretty new to the game if you’ve never noticed, it’s all part of being a fan. Don’t think any clubs fan base has always been 100% satisfied whatever the performances & results. Be a bit shite if everyone agreed with each other, you may as well close all message boards down.

Of Dave Jones, Lennie Lawrence, Malky, Alan Cork and NW, guess who has the lowest win percentage at City.

The words modern era are very true , if you consider what he took on , delivered and went through ,including the Sala tragedy , I think your point is very well made .

The championship is now considered one of the best in Europe , getting to the Premiership an even bigger achievement, far tougher in my view of the old division and 1 and 2 promotions campaigns

Re: The King is Dead, Long live the king !

The other manager that got us to the prem robbed the club blind and racially abused our owner

Neil got us there and completely transformed the team from what slade, young and trollope had.

Some unforgettable moments along the way. losing the wolves in the promo year, beating UTD away last game and so much between.

Quick to forget some of the crap we had there under previous manager, Ravell, Lex, Doyle, Saadi all rubbish.

Not saying he's our best manager of all time, but of the modern era without a shadow of a doubt. And he completely galvanised the club.

Granted he's had signed a few howlers. But come on mate wake up and smell the coffee. Malky bought a player worth £500,000 at most for in excess of 10m and pocketed the change.

You don't know that. And we reportedly recouped most of it when we sold him back after a few months.

Neil Warnock has spent £30M on Madine, Reid, Murphy and Cunningham. Two of them are out on loan and the other two don't start.

Plus gave lucrative professional contracts to two sons of a "friend" of his. They were barely of League 2 standard (see where they were before and where they are now) and his "friend" is a disgraced struck off former football agent who was involved in the tragic deal for Emiliano Sala in breach of FIFA and UEFA rules (which NW would have been aware of).

Plus recruited a player on an unusually long contract for big wages compared to what he was on at his previous club and gave a big pay increase to another player. Player 1 is a client of NW`s son and player 2 got his big increase just after becoming a client of his son. NW would be aware of the rules involving dealing with "connected" intermediaries as his dealings in a similar manner were questioned by the football authorities regarding at least one other club where he was manager before CCFC.

So credit where credit is due in terms of some of NW`s achievements at the club , but let`s not make him out to be some kind of saint always doing things for the benefit of CCFC and never (deliberately) wasting some of the club`s money.
