Except you lot are the only ones bringing parties in because you are unable to discuss the actual issue, look at the thread title ffs.

These "decent moderate social minded centrists" are red ...nay PINK Tory Trojan horses. A bit of free advice, don't be taken in by them.

You've gone up in my estimation for what that's worth. I've been shocked by the way some have dismissed anti semitism and as long as they do that it can't be addressed or fixed.

To be fair its awful , and you can see the bitterness on this board .

For the first time in my life after (only) ever voting Labour in a GE I truly dont know what to do, and admit its upsetting .

I was Liberal bound until they bodly said
' revoke article 50' which does worry me as a statement (it is bold though perhaps un democratic though ?? )

I'm no longer as strong on remain as I was in 2016.

I won't waste my vote, sadly I cannot align myself to the current Labour project , I'm not a nationalist so no too Plaid, dont fully buy into the Greens , I may have to suck in the Lib's .

I do wonder if I'm alone in this thought ??

How some people don't like gratis and are constantly looking a gift horse in the face is insane to me. These rich capitalists must be the bee's knees in excercising mind control.

I think some are worried about the freebies effecting everyone's pensions , as a lot of these nationalization plans will effect ordinary folks pensions as the pension funds are invested in these very companies , therefore to gratis effect nice a the start could hurt ordinary working folks pensions in the future , my guess (and it is a guess ) a lot of the supporters of the gratis labour plans are retired or near retired public sector workers who are insulated as their pension and earning are protected from this potential financial shortfall and effects of the brave new nationalization plan , this is a huge gamble to untie all of this and it will cost ,I was listen to old Unite Len praising this new venture ,well he would wouldn't , he it wont effect his £250k pa or any of those folk around the Labour manifesto gratis held meeting yesterday .

And shock of shocks old Len was the first out of the media blocks its as if he was the leader , and he as an union leader attended that manifesto meeting ??

I say never mind free fibre broadband, what about fibre broadband full stop! Lots of places in Wales would love to have it. I'm sure those inhabitants would be happy to pay for it.

No mention of the millions who do not have the luxury of an occupational pension I see. Many people I know only have the State Pension to look forward to but are heroic in their stoicism.

A good opinion piece (in my opinion) about this from Ash Sarkar (normally demonised by The Guardian, but this time given space):

Well the NHS has been a ****ing disaster so she's probably right.
Maybe it'll become the new mammoth State project that can't be done or funded properly but which no ones got the courage to critisise

He 'stuffed their mouths with gold', i'm a massive fan of the NHS and those of us that can afford it should pay a lot more taxation to improve it and keep it going but nonetheless doctors and surgeons do still seem to be paid too much, we should all be in it together.

Glad you like it. I see they've been caught killing kids at the maternity dept in Telford over decades. Not the first such scandal is it ?
Fact is that it's a big **** up and third world compared to US healthcare but we keep hearing how great it is from the BBC and politicians and somehow a lot of people fall for it

In fact it's not new. Here's a clip of a much younger McDonnel putting his policies to a labour panel screening potential candidates
    during Blair's government

yes i think we need a broader look at the NHS rather than use it a a political point scoring vehicle , for me we should impose :

GP consultations fee's for those than can afford it .
freeze GP's pay and to pay for more nurses and raise their pay and skills
Broaden nurses ability to provide simple care currently carried out by GP's
Not prescribe drugs that are at the point of purchase.
Charge for prescriptions for those than can afford in in wales ,channel to social care
    Group GP's within A and E
Charges taken at then point of entry at A and E for drunks and drug offenders .
Link fire services units and personal with paramedics fro call outs .
Charges raised for motorists proving careless driver that results in medical help
1p on income tax and ring fenced purely for social care
