    Re: Corbyn the Kent

[QUOTE=the other bob wilson;5028273]It's so revealing that none of the old men who appeared on here yesterday trying to justify their voting intentions in this and another thread have tried to challenge, or even replied to, this message.

The sentence highlighted early on in this message goes to the heart of the matter, but there is so much more that Surge has listed and yet he makes no mention of Johnson's character and the strokes he pulled during his first few months in office before the election was called - remember when the Conservatives used to call themselves the party of law and order?

What's so revealing about 'old Men' ( cheeky bugger) not responding. Are you suggesting we have no answers. Well Qs response will do for me.
Lets not forget that whatever your political colours this election has come about because parliament has not carried out the democratic will of the electorate who in 2016 voted to leave the EU. No ifs and buts just in or out. Nothing about a deal, being in the customer union, etc etc. The referendum was carried by a majority of 4%. Not overwhelming but significant.

Yet three years on parliament is doing its best to turn its back on it. Over 20 years ago we in Wales voted for the Welsh Assembly and the majority was 0.6%....A tiny majority. Yet, because it was a democratic. vote it was acted on.
So criticise Corbyn or Boris as much as you like, but don't forget that the politicians in both Cardiff and London are operating like a benevolent autocracy, saying that they know best, and sod the voters

Tell you what, we have a straw man in Wales as our First Minister.

Nicola Sturgeon defends her stance by saying that the Scottish people voted to remain. Mark Drakeford turns his back on Welsh vote to leave by saying he against Brexit and wants to remain. So much for putting our trust in him and his government

Irrelevant to the point you were making, but I'll bite...

How dare Mark Drakeford (who has no powers whatsoever in deciding whether the UK leaves the EU) have an opinion that differs to other people who have cast their opinion in stone... Think of the consequences!!!

I stupidly thought the vote today was about the policies of the parties and how that will impact the future of the country but thanks for clarifying that it's a popularity contest between two people

You've got that exactly right - the list Surge produced referred to a party, while Q's was entirely about the actions of a party leader who in many of the instances quoted was not acting on behalf of that party.

I've cast my vote, after quite a long hesitation while considering what to do, for Labour this morning. I'm no fan of Jeremy Corbyn and I made the choice I did reluctantly, but I voted for a party, not an individual - my main motivation in this election has been to try and do what I could to prevent a majority Conservative Government and so I voted for the party with the best chance of making that happen.

Nor does Nicola Sturgeon but she does a much better job of expressing the will of Scottish voters than Mark Drakeford does for us.

Do you honestly think a man would be allowed to be in the running for PM of this country if all of that was 100% true? Anyway the eating babies, molesting pensioners & bestiality was omitted, can’t be true!

It is probably the photo of Owen Carron at Bobby Sands' funeral in 1981.

Some arsehole decided years ago that Owen Carron looked a bit like Jeremy Corbyn and ever since it has been used online (and I think at one point in a national Tory-supporting paper) to persuade the gullible and willing dupes that Corbyn was there.

It's refreshing that a few of you on here and haven't settled for what the billionaire media barons tell you about Jeremy Corbyn.
